Barack Obama grew up without a father in his life and now he’s the president of the United States.

What’s your excuse? I hate when people say, “I grew up without a father growing up” and use it as an excuse for their behavior and poor choices. Yes, I understand that it’s hard to grow up without that father figure in your life, but how is that stopping you from being all that you can be? If anything, it should motivate you to be a better person and parent than the one you helped create you. And most importantly, (if your mother was your prime caretaker) to have a greater respect for women and all the hard work she put into raising you by herself. I just hate excuses like that, you can’t always determine your circumstances in life, but you have total control over the choices and decisions you make.
